The Birds and the Bees
Puberty, pimples, periods, armpit hair, etc. Walking into the classroom Friday, a student
flung her arms around me and started crying; or at least I thought she was
crying. Concerned, I asked, “What on
earth is wrong?” At this point she looked
up, smiling, and bellowed, “We are learning about the birds and the bees in
science, and it is soooooo scary!” I
strived to look just as disgusted as she did!
A teacher wears many hats!
